December 10, International Human Rights Day, stands as a symbol of the global community’s unwaver- ing commitment to the fundamental values of equality, justice, and human dignity. This day is an im- portant opportunity to remind ourselves of our collective responsibility to protect the basic rights of all human beings, without any form of discrimination or distinction. More than four years after the fall of the previous Government and the takeover by the Taliban, Af- ghanistan is experiencing one of the darkest and most critical periods in its history.
